Vision and Physical Features
Kodur Grama Panchayat is a region where natural beauty and a rich agricultural heritage come together. The entire northern side of the Panchayat is surrounded by the Kadalundi River, giving the area a distinctive geographical significance. The Kadalundi River, which flows around the Panchayat for approximately 14 kilometres, contributes to the fertility and productivity of Kodur’s agricultural sector.
The distinctive feature of Kodur is its varied terrain, comprising hills, valleys, slopes, and plains. The rural lifestyle closely connected with nature, along with lush green paddy fields and coconut groves, adds to the beauty of the region. Traditionally, paddy and coconut have been the major agricultural crops. However, mixed farming practices are gaining increasing importance in the region.
